Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Launched At $15 Alongside A 20000 mAh Mi Power Bank

Xiaomi has announced its new wearable fitness tracker, called the Mi Band 1S [also dubbed as Mi Band Pulse]. The company has also launched a 20000mAh Mi Power Bank. Right now, both products will be exclusively available in China. There has not been any details about the international launch as yet. The Mi Band 1S is the successor of the Mi Band, which was launched last year. The Mi Band 1S will available at a price of CNY 99 [approx. Rs 1,000 or $15], starting on November 11th.

The Mi Band 1S measures 37 x 13.6 x 9.9 mm in size and weighs 5.5 grams. The new fitness tracker comes with IP67 certification, which makes it dust and water resistant [it can be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes]. It features a 45mAh battery [same as its predecessor] that offers 30-day battery life on a single charge. The new wearable fitness tracker comes with several improvements such an optical heart-rate sensor. However, no display has been added to the device.

Along with tracking your heart rate and the quality of sleep, the wearable also counts the number of calories you’ve burned during exercise, and measures the number of steps you’ve taken. Other features involve unlocking your Xiaomi smartphone. The device vibrates to alert you when your handset receives a notification.

The company has also announced a new large Mi Power Bank, which has a capacity of 20000mAh. The Mi Power Bank has been priced at an equivalent of $24 [approx. Rs 1,600]. The Power Bank features a plastic body and weighs less than other Mi Power Bank models [the new power bank weighs 338 grams,]. It features two standard USB ports, micro-USB port, and LED lights to show the battery level. The power bank comes with charging/discharging chips and nine layers of circuit protection. The battery offers a maximum output of 5.1V and 3.6A output. The company promises up to 93 percent conversion rate. It also supports fast charging, which [according to the company] will be able to charge the power bank up to 11,000 mAh in only three hours.
