We are live streaming the Samsung Galaxy Note II launch in India
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is releasing tomorrow in India. Nothing Wired will be there to give you live updates.
Samsung is all prepared to give us a glimpse of the 5.5-inch giant tomorrow. Folks who were not part of the IFA held last month will at last get to see the Samsung phablet; one of the most sought after phones of this year. We will have the event covered for those who won’t be able to make it to the venue. Bookmark our site for Live updates starting tomorrow at 2:30 pm IST.
The 5.5 inch display, 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, 2 megapixel front camera, internal storage ranging from 16 to 64 GB; it can easily be your next obsession. You would be particularly amazed at features like Air View, which allows you to linger over ay content or an image without actually having to open the whole thing! You use air view to get a preview of the thing and if you want, you open it.
Samsung has also done a fantastic job with the battery power here. No matter how much you play with the 9.4 mm thick Note 2, the 3100mAh is doomed to last one full day. These were however predicted features. What Samsung kept hidden all the way is the Air view function of the S-Pen stylus, The Popup Note feature, Quick command and Easy clips.
Pop Up note is another marvelous feature, which opens up the S Notepad when you open up your Stylus simultaneously during a call. PopUp Note is as intelligent as that!
In addition, the device’s new gesture pad feature, called Quick Command, lets users quickly activate frequently used apps with the S Pen. The command pad appears when a user just swipes upward on the screen with the S Pen button pressed. Users can quickly send an email, make a call, or search a location as they draw pre-registered marks on the command pad or register a unique mark to allow for quick and easy access.
The excitement doesn’t end here. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will come with the latest Android OS version Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
