With so many manufacturers now entering the Windows 8 arena with convertible hybrid tablets, Toshiba is not willing to leave its space. And knowing that IFA is one of the best platforms, Toshiba took the opportunity and introduced their new line up of hybrid tablets namely Toshiba Satellite U925t.

It’s awesome and not like the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga. Instead, this one has a slider keyboard that can be pulled to make it act like a laptop and pushed for a tablet.

This ultra-lightweight 3.2 pounds device sports a 12.5 inch screen and is 0.78 inches thick. Additionally it comes with 128GB solid-state drive, a 3MP web-cam, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, full-size card reader. The Satellite U925t has NFC built onto it and the display is protected by a Gorilla Glass.

Toshiba has not published any press release for the Satellite U925t. Most of the specifications are available. Pricing will likely be tagged at $1000 and the Satellite U925t would be made available starting October 26th. You got it right. October 26th is when Microsoft is planning to launch Windows 8.
