Toshiba Excite, inside the Android tablet market it has been configured as the predominant two sizes: one seven-inch for those seeking a small tablet and on the other of ten, for those who want to seek more in size. Apart of these settings, there are other dimensions but the most popular ones are the binomial.

It is no news that freedom of manufacturer’s linked to screens, sometimes leaves us curious devices and the last to include this list is one of the Excite family members, the new Toshiba tablet. A 13.3-inch device, yes! You read that right, which aims to approach end users who do not have enough with a ten inch model.

Regarding the hardware, it does not introduce major changes in terms to what we see in high end this year: Tegra 3, 1GB RAM, LED backlit screen, much like the ASUS screens. Resolution: 1600 × 900 pixels and up to ten simultaneous recognition points. All this at 1.01 cm thick!

Now the question is who wants the tablet the size of a standard laptop? The most obvious thing is to think of the consumption of movies and series but may also be attractive for those seeking more size to play, remember that Tegra has 3 as processor and Nvidia is making great efforts to provide devices that use chips with many games.

Another interesting aspect is the fact that it can be used as a drawing tablet or multiplayer games within the same device. However, in my humble opinion, is fairly bulky device. We will have to prove it, of course, but at first glance seems to me like a niche device. Thus, as mentioned, in addition to this model, Toshiba will launch two more tablets, a model of seven and another of ten to satisfy other users. Technical specifications, except the resolution, are the same as the model of thirteen.
