The Wise tasks developer Nuno da Silva Donato has now come up with a new app called GeoMinder in the BlackBery appworld store. Based on Getting Things Done (GTD), the world’s leading productivity methodology, Wise Tasks utilizes and extends the power of your BlackBerry smartphone by allowing you to quickly and easily manage tasks and projects. Wise Tasks integrates tightly with your BlackBerry and shares the same Tasks, Memos and Contacts, taking you to a whole new level of smarter task management.

GeoMinder, on the other hand is a more simplistic style of your location reminders.  You can set up geolocation perimeters by using the map and specifying a radius and assign as many reminders as you need. GeoMinderruns in the background, notifying you when need. For instance:

  • “When I arrive at the office, remind me to review next week’s schedule”
  • “When I pass supermarket, remind me to buy vegetables”
  • “At home remind me to call Dave”

When arriving at a marked location, Geominder can play an alarm and display a stored text note or a voice note previously associated to that location.

You can download GeoMinder from the BlackBerry Appstore for free.
