The iPad mini rumors are up again…
The Apple mini iPad rumor has been spreading around the tech blogs since 2009 and yet again it is in another round of speculations. The latest one of the rumor has been based on quite a few comments by people. Firstly, it supports the NDP DisplaySearch’s saying which was “likely imminent” for a 7.85 inch tablet. Secondly, it supports a Chinese website which has reports of the smaller iPad to be using an IGZO display made by Sharp.
In the mean time, Bloomberg has contributed to the rumor by a new report which pegs a future announcement in October. The iPad mini is rumored to have a 7-8 inches display whilst it may lack the Retina display. The Apple mini iPad is quite sure to carry around the same screen resolution as the other iPads. Concerning the price range, the mini iPad will be priced around the newly released Goole Nexus 7.
Having Google and Microsoft trying to make their own space in the tablet market with the Google nexus 7 and Microsoft Surface respectively, it is no surprise that the rumors for the iPad mini have risen. Google and Microsoft might be the giants in their own industries but they definitely lack the retail presence of Apple which could bring Apple to an extra advantage over the market sales. The breadth of the App Store also favors the Cupertino-based company, though Android is rapidly catching up with the latest numbers, Google’s platform is just 50,000 apps short of Apple’s.
