The Galaxy Note launch at Taj Palace Delhi was like a typical launch event, except for the product. We reached almost 10-15 minutes late thanks to the Delhi traffic. When I called up Arvind ji, he was equally furious with the CP traffic jam. However later I would come to know that he had made it to the venue first.

Doesnot matter, ‘cos I made it to the front seats much faster than anyone else in the room. Then started the shooting, clickings and round ups of all the photo and video capturing gadgets I have, whether or not with batteries – yes I forgot to charge my point and shoot Cybershot with which I’m happy most of the times.

Anyway, we went through the presentation waiting for the Taj lunch. However the display of a nothing less than amazing device, the Galaxy Note, was able to distract us for quite some distance. So much so that I even tried my hands on an art completion to win the Note – where you are supposed to draw using the S Pen on the Note. The realization quickly drawn on me though that I can never be a graphic designer. Arvindji on the other hand was seriously on it and actually was able to, digitally curve out if you will, face of a beautiful lady. He was missing someone there perhaps?

The lunch was superb with amazing Gulab Jamuns and Kiwis which Deepika was at the most forefront to relish. I kept a safe distance, and keep myself busy with the poor chickens.

Coming back to why we came for – we could do a quick hands-on of the Galaxy Note with assistance from the gorgeous attendees there. We also were fortunate enough to listen (and record) the jaw-dropping Gul Panag explaining her quest for such a device to the top Samsung officials. It was overall a satisfying event and I would say the launch of the Galaxy Note was successful. Deepika and Arvindji’s meeting with Gul Panag was esthetic.

Best of luck to Samsung for giving us an amazing powerhouse of an option in smartphone – not to mention cordial invitation to the launch even and such a sumptuous lunch!
