The Xperia V is LTE enabled and water resistant. It has recently been integrated with an innovative technology according to a post published on Sony Mobile’s developer blog site. The technology has been dubbed as the sensor-on-lens touch screen technology, and it gives you a better image quality along with a true direct touch experience.

Normally, touch sensitive displays have three physical layers stacked up-on respectively: display, sensor and lens. But the sensor-on-lens technology uses only two layers instead by making the sensor layer a part of the lens itself.  And we get better image quality since there is no interference from the touch sensor component.

The technology also offers 5% better luminance and less haze. The phone is made lighter and slimmer and as the image plane is moved closer to users, it gives a feel of actually touching the image itself. Moreover, you get less parallax issues compared to a conventional touch panel.

Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia V features a 4.3-inch HD Reality Display that is powered by Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2. The handset comes powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0.4, while it offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Other features include a 13MP camera, microSD up-to 32GB, Sony Exmor R, Bluetooth 4.0, aGPS, HDMI, MHL, NFC, DLNA, Wi-Fi, PlayStation certified, Sony’s xLOUD audio technology and more.
