The previous Samsung Galaxy Nexus was pretty much loved because of its styling ad features like built in NFC capabilities. It was confined to a particular community and they loved it. People outside that community probably didn’t go for it because of one soul reason; the storage blockade. This was derived from many forums, particularly the XDA developers forum.

It took some time; but Samsung has finally realized how much people crave for storage. SamMobile has the latest leaked image showing purported specs of the successor “Galaxy Nexus”. Not all specs are listed but we get the glimpse of requisites.

Screen size and processor.

The screen size remains the same (4.65’’) and the processor is upgraded to 1.5 dual core A9 (this is 300 MHz clocked higher than the original Galaxy nexus).

Rear and Front Camera:

The rear camera has been increased by 3 more mega pixels making it to 8MP this time and the front camera too has increased to 1.9 MP (previously 1.3 MP).

Storage:

The Internal Storage remains the same;16GB. However, previously the irony was an exclusion of the micro SD slot. 16 GB is way too less for a flagship phone and with otherwise good specs. Samsung has included a micro SD card slot this time that can support additional 32 GB. This definitely cools down the heat.

Details on pricing and availability aren’t available. The original unlocked Galaxy Nexus was priced at $450. One can expect it to be priced around $500-$550 based on the enhanced specs and also based on the presumption that it will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. That has to be because ICS on this one would definitely be obsolete. After all, IceCream Sandwich introduced by the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
