Sony Xperia J leaked
The Sony Xperia J is expected to be launched at the upcoming IFA event in Berlin next month. Expected to fall within the entry-level category, the 4-inch smartphone is expected to offer above average features
It Seems like Sony has added yet another device to its Xperia series of smartphones. Androidcentral reports that a Taiwanese site ePrice has come up with a leaked image of the rumored Sony Xperia J along with some info regarding the specs. The leaked images actually show the smartphone codenamed Sony ST26i, which is rumored to go on sale as the Xperia J.
As gathered from Androidcentral and ePrice, the Xperia J features a 4-inch FWVGA screen with 854 x 580p resolution and is expected to run on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is powered by a 1GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and features a back camera with single LED flash. Although the camera resolution is not known, Androidcentral suspects it to be of 5MP.
The Xperia J is expected to be unveiled at the next month’s IFA event in Berlin along with two other smartphones from Sony, suspected to be the LT30p “Mint” and the LT29i “Hayabusa“. But these are all early assumptions and are subject to changes. The Xperia J is expected to be available in White, Pink nd Black.
The Xperia J is said to fall within the entry-level category and may be priced between the Xperia miro and tipo, but the plus point is that it will come running on the latest version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich straight out of the box, and so all the hassles associated with an OS upgrade could be well avoided.
Since this is an early appearance, details regarding the date of market availability and the actual price are strictly kept under wraps.
