Sony is planning to unveil a new member belonging to the Xperia family, the Xperia AX. This is actual a market variant of the already existing Xperia V and is limited for a launch in Japan only

Sony is planning to unveil a new member of the Xperia family, the Xperia AX. This is actual a market variant of the already existing Xperia V and is limited for a launch in Japan only.

Features include 4.3″ HD Reality Display screen, powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 13 MP fast-capture camera with new shooting modes; Superior Auto feature, enabling low-light snapping and Picture Effect that lets you preview snaps using different effects, Sony’s signature tune-tech, including ClearAudio+ mode for aural clarity, Sony’s media applications; WALKMAN®, Album and Movies, Ships running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream and NFC capabilities.

Moreover, features like: infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet and mobile TV are exclusive to the Japan variant only.

The handset is expected to launch sometime during Q4. No words on pricing yet.
