Samsung Launches the New Series 7 Slate PC
After the launch of the Series 5 Hybrid, Samsung unveiled the Series 7 Slate PC here at Computex 2012. We can say that the old 11.6 inch Series 7 Slate got groomed for the future and for the better. It now will be powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge Core i3, i5, i7 processors. This means apart from Windows RT, we will get to enjoy the full experience of Windows 8.
As expected, the revamped Series 7 will come with a full touch screen, along with a WACOM pen and a Bluetooth keyboard. The rest of the specs seem to be retained from the old Series 7 slate, which includes a micro HDMI port, USB 2.0, microSD card slot, and a docking connector at the bottom. It is also claimed to be the thinnest and lightest of slate PCs weighing at 860 grams and 12.9mm in thickness. The Series 7 Slate PC is said to achieve boot times of 15 seconds, thanks to the 64/128GB SSD housed within. Samsung also claims the display to be the best in its class and is said to achieve a brightness of 400 nits. Battery is expected to last more than 7 hours.
No other information seems to be available at present regarding its availability or price, but you can expect a high-end price, since its predecessor did not come cheap.
Keep posted for more.
