Samsung has launched the projector smartphone Galaxy Beam in India
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Beam in India today. Galaxy Beam’s ultra-bright 15 lumens projector and high-definition projection up to 50’’ wide at a distance of 2 meter, allows users to freely share their memorable moments instantly with crisp clarity.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Beam during the Mobile World Conference held at Barcelona earlier this year. At that time, no dates of an India launch were stated. Today, Samsung has announced the launch of this particular smartphone in India.
According to Sammy, customer attention here would be on the built-in projector. GALAXY Beam’s ultra-bright 15 lumens projector and high-definition projection up to 50’’ wide at a distance of 2 meter, allows users to freely share their memorable moments instantly with crisp clarity.
Sammy has incorporated Android 2.3 Gingerbread here. Other specs of the Galaxy Beam include a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, 720p video recording, 8 GB internal memory with microSD card slot (expandable upto 32GB), 2,000mAh battery provides talktime upto Up to 20 h (2G) / Up to 9 h 40 min (3G).
The GALAXY Beam comes with unique applications like the Ambience feature for various mood experiences and a drawing tool for presentations. It enables the presenter to easily bring the viewers’ attention without a laser printer.
Browser support includes include both HTML and Adobe Flash. Now this is lucky enough to support Adobe Flash as Adobe has confirmed few days back that Flash support won’t be made available to Android 4.1 and above devices.
Additonal features include SNS integration, MP4/DivX/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC player, Organizer, Image/video editor, Document editor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration, Voice memo/dial/commands and a Predictive text input (Swype).
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is priced at Rs. 33,900/- and available exclusively at all Samsung Smartphone Cafes.
