Coolpad has announced another exciting smartphone for the INdian market called Cool 1 Dual. Like previous Coolpad devices, the new smartphone offers a high specs including a large screen and a high-end camera, at a budget price. The Cool 1 has been developed in partnership with LeEco. It is priced at Rs 13,999.
“Under the dual-brand strategy, we aim to earn a spot within the top five smartphone manufacturers in China and India. Coolpad has a very strong research development legacy and owns thousands of patents, including one for dual-SIM cards,” said James Du, Global CEO, Coolpad Group.
The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. It is powered by a 1.8 Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor along with Adrena 510 GPU and 32GB internal storage. It comes in 3GB or 4GB variants. The new handset runs on Android 6.0 operating system. It also features a fingerprint sensor.
On the camera front, the new smartphone comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF [phase-detection auto-focus], and a dual-tone LED flash. It comes with 4K video recording capability. There is also an 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and a wide 80-degree lens, on-board. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C. The the dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a huge 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging support.
The Coolpad Cool 1 comes in Gold and Silver Gold options. It will be available from January 5 via Amazon India. The 3GB RAM variant will only be available through offline stores.
“2017 will be a game changer for Coolpad in India as we plan to capture four per cent of the market share. Coolpad has now expanded its market to other regions and the smartphones will now be available in Bangladesh and Nepal,” added Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India.
