NTT DoCoMo is set to launch the Sharp AQUOS SH-10D on August 30, soon to hit the US
Pre-booking is underway for the Sharp AQUOS SH-10D on NTT DoCoMo and is set to be launched officially on the 30th of August. The first Android-based snartphone Sharp has been approved by the FCC and we can expect it to hit the US soon. The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0
As gathered from Engadget, pre-booking has already started for the Sharp AQUOS SH-10D on NTT DoCoMo, while the handset is set to be launched officially on the 30th of this month in Japan. But reports have confirmed that the handset has already been approved by FCC which implies that it won’t be long before the device goes on sell in the US.
So before it hits the US, let us take a look at what the maiden Android smartphone from Sharp has to offer.
The Sharp AQUOS SH-10D features a large 4.5-inch touch-screen and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor paired alongside 1GB of RAM. The handset offers 8GB of internal storage expandable up-to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The device also features a 12.1MP back camera and a 0.3MP front camera.
The handset offers support for GSM and HSPA+ connectivity.
The Japanese manufacturer Sharp has made its intentions clear with its first Android-powered smartphone, the AQUOS SH-10D and considering the specs and hardware featured the handset is expected to fall within the higher mid-range category.
