Coolpad has launched multiple 2nd generation devices such as the Note 3 Lite, Note 3S and Mega 3. In fact, it is expected to come up with a lighter version of its Note 5 smartphone next. This seems like a smart move since all previous 2nd Gen versions have done well in the Indian market.

While the Coolpad Note 3 [featuring a fingerprint senso] was launched at INR 8999 only, its lighter version,- Coolpad Note 3 Lite – was even more competitively priced at just INR 6,999. Needless to say, it was a huge success for the company. While the first flash sale of Note 3 sold 5,000 units of Coolpad Note 3 in less than 5 minutes, the company ended up selling 25,000 units of Note 3 Lite smartphone in 8 seconds time. The CoolPad Note 3 Lite also came with a fingerprint scanner, which made it the cheapest smartphone to sport a fingerprint scanner. In terms of other specs, the Note 3 Lite was simply a 5-inch version of the Note 3 smartphone featuring a 64-bit quad-core MT 6735 CPU, 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM along with 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras.

Other 2nd Gen smartphones such as the Note 3S and Mega 3 have also fared exceptionally in the competitive Indian smartphone market. Coolpad’s philosophy of offering optimum value for your money has worked really well so far. The focus on bringing in something new at an affordable price has made Coolpad, one of the most reliable brands in the budget segment.
