The Nokia Lumia 900 has been launched in India for a price of Rs 32,999. The handset runs on Windows Phone 7.5 and features a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED screen along with a single core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year, the Nokia Lumia 900 is now available for Indian consumers. According to NDTV Gadgets, the handset has been launched in India for a price of Rs 32,999. Consumers can choose from a selection of colors including Magenta, Black, Cyan and White.
Now a lot of experts are speculating that the Lumia 900 is a bit late in coming since the unveiling of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, both of which are powered by Windows Phone 8. On the other hand, the Lumia 900 has been promised an upgrade to Windows Phone 7.8 but that’s all consumers can hope for since Windows Phone 8 requires an entirely different platform to run on.
The Lumia 900 features a 4.3-inch WVGA ClearBlack AMOLED touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480p and comes powered by Windows Phone 7.5. The handset packs a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage and an 8MP camera with dual LED flash and lens from Carl Zeiss, while the handset also comes equipped with an 1840mAh battery that offers up-to 7 hours of talktime.
Although the Nokia Lumia 900 comes with an old OS, it has been promised to be upgraded to Windows Phone 7.8 which would add some of the features of the Windows Phone8 OS. And although the handset is a bit on the pricey side, we can expect a price cut after the official launch of Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia.
