The latest one entering the Indian market is the Nokia Lumia 610 running Windows 7.5. At Rs 12,999, the phone stands as the most affordable smartphone released by the Finnish giant in India.  Let’s look at some of the specifications.

Powered by an 800 MHz processor, it runs on the Windows 7.5 mango platform. On the display side, it has a 3.7 Inches TFT touchscreen providing a resolution of WVGA, 480 x 800 pixels. A Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery ensures talktime Up to 10.5 hours.

For capturing quality pictures, it’s loaded with a 5 MP primary camera. Regrettably there’s no secondary camera. That’s obvious too as Nokia is yet to provide a front camera on the Lumia 800 which is priced at a level significantly higher than 610.

On the internet and connectivity side, HTML5 is the preinstalled browser, supports GPRS (Class 12, 48 kbps), Edge (Class 12), 3G (7.2 Mbps HSDPA; 5.76 Mbps HSUPA), Wifi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS, Bluetooth v2.1, DLNA and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The memory is backed by an internal storage of 8 GB with no expandable card slot.RAM is 256 MB.

Additional features include MP4/WMV/H.264 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+ player, Organizer,   Image/video editor, document viewer, Voice memo/commands, Predictive text input (Swype).
