Nikon to introduce its first Android based Camera called the Coolpix S800c
Nikon is all set to release their first Android based Camera, which is expected to be offered at $350
Nikon as now released an Android powered camera which is first of its kind form Nikon called the Coolpix S800c. This device will be available in the market by next month however nothing has been mentioned about its sale in Indian till now. This device is priced at $350.
This device sports a 10x optical zoom lens, and 16 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor along with a 3.5inch OLED WVGA Touchscreen. As mentioned earlier this is the world’s first android based camera it is powered with an Android 2.3 or Gingerbread Platform. This camera has Wi-Fi connectivity support which allows it download applications from Google Play Store. Apart from that Nikon has also equipped ‘My Picture Town’ application for uploading images directly to the cloud storage.
Now coming back to camera specifications this device supports 18 filter effects which will allow the users to capture stunning images. It also supports Video recording which will help you to record your important family gatherings. It has a 25-250mm equivalent F3.2-5-8 lens. Along with Wi-Fi it also has Bluetooth and GPS and 2GB of internal memory out of which 680MB is reserved for the Applications. It sports up to 8 frames per second of continuous shooting and can play video of 1080p.
