Nikon has launched three new compact cameras in it’s Coolpix line-up, called the A900, B700 and B500. The new Nikon A900, B700 and B500 have been priced at $399 [approx. Rs. 27,000], $499 [approx. Rs. 33,500], and $299 [approx. Rs. 20,000], respectively.
The Nikon Coolpix A900 features a 20-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and offers a 35x optical zoom. It is capable of 4K video recording at 30fps. The camera comes with a 3-inch tilting display with a 920k-dot resolution.
While the Nikon Coolpix B700 sports a 20.3-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and offers a huge 60x optical zoom. It is capable of shoot in burst mode at up to 5fps, and 4K video recording. The camera comes with a 3-inch tiltable LCD display. Other features include RAW format support, different creative shooting modes, etc.
The Nikon B500 features a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and offers a 40x optical zoom. It also comes with a hybrid VR to counter accidental camera shakes. The camera is capable of full-HD video recording. A tilting 920K-dot 3-inch LCD display is also present. It uses AA batteries instead of a rechargeable Lithium-ion one.
Connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi and NFC. Additionally, all three cameras support Bluetooth Low Energy [BLE] for an ‘always-on’ connection with Nikon’s SnapBridge app.
