Micromax A90 set for launch, features a Super AMOLED display

According to NDTV Gadgets, Micromax looks set to introduce yet another smartphone to the Indian market. Reportedly, the handset has been named the Micromax A90 and is expected to be launched this Friday for a price of Rs 12,999.
The price tag suggests that the handset will fall within the entry-level category, which again implies Micromax’s desire to have at least one product in all the categories available to Indian consumers. Micromax is poised to introduce the handset at an event in New Delhi on the 17th of August that is tomorrow and along with two other handsets: the Micromax A100 and the A84 Superfone Elite.
The Micromax A90 features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The handset offers dual-SIM support and comes powered by a 1GHz processor which is paired with 512MB of RAM. The device also features an 8MP camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front camera. Featured internal storage capacity can be expanded further up-to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
For connectivity, the Micromax A90 features Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and micro USB. The device also offers 3G connectivity, while a 1600 mAh battery provides the necessary power back-up.
