“Slim” has been the motto of Chinese Electronics manufacturer OPPO Electronics Corp. Ltd since quite some time. Earlier this year, the company launched a 6.65 mm thin smartphone Oppo Finder that went on to become the world’s slimmest smartphone officially.

The company has launched yet another slim smartphone yesterday, named Oppo Find5 X909. The phone is slightly thicker than its predecessor is but still stands at 6.9 mm only. However to add to its niche, the manufacturer has added a quad-core APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro chip thus making it the world’s slimmest quad-core smartphone.

Display and camera:

The handset sports a 4.5 inch display and bears resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels. A 12-megapixel camera rests at the back and a 2 MP camera rests at the front.

Storage:

The Oppo Find5 X909 will ship with two options of internal storage; either 15 GB or 32 GB and the prices will vary accordingly. Micro SD card slots are provided of course for expandable storage up to 32 gigabytes of memory.

Operating system:

Most likely, the OS will be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Battery:

The battery is a standard Li-ion 2.500mAh capable of 7 hours of talk time on a 3G network.

There is no news on either price or availability. In addition, reports suggest that the phone would not be made available outside the Asian market.
