LG Optimus G has been officially announced
The LG Optimus G comes powered by a 1.5GHz quad core processor and features a 4.7-inch screen that has been developed in collaboration with LG Display and LG Innotek, and offers the slimmest touch panel that is more resistive ti impacts and offers better visibility and clarity
Yesterday LG officially announced its latest flagship Android device the Optimus G according to NDTV Gadgets. The official announcement has laid rest to all the rumors and speculations surrounding the handset. Reportedly, the handset is set to make its first appearance in Japan with NTT Docomo, while the global variant of the LG Optimus G would be available in South Korea followed by other markets across the world.
The LG Optimus G features an impressive display that has been developed in collaboration with LG Display. The result is a 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS+ display that offers a resolution of 1280 x 768p with crisper and sharper color accuracy.
The handset also comes equipped with G2 Touch Hybrid Display which has been developed by LG Innotek and which offers the slimmest panel display with no diffused reflection for clearer and sharper visibility even at outdoors. Also the thickness of the touchscreen panel has been reduced and offers more resistance to impacts.
Meanwhile, the LG Optimus G runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes powered by a 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM. The handset also features a 13MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. Onboard we have 32GB of storage capacity and support for 4G LTE, 3G as well as 2G.
Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, MHL, DLNA and NFC, while the handset itself measures 8.45mm in depth and weighs around 145g.
LG Chem has also lent its efforts in coming up with a high-density 2100 mAh battery that offers a lifespan of 800 cycles which is much better than the 500 cycles of lifespan that we find in the existing standard batteries.
