Lenovo has unveiled a new range of laptops that are built-in with Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system, RT hybrid system, and Intel chips. These devices work both as a laptop and tablet as well. These laptops will be pertinent for the users who are more likely towards tablet like experience.

IdeaPad Yoga 13

In a New Yorkevent, Lenovo has launched two convertibles, with the names, IdeaPad Yoga 13 and IdeaPad Yoga 11, and a tablet namely, IdeaTab Lynx. These laptops are twirled and transformed from notebooks into tablets. It also demonstrated an 11-inch computer that uses an Nvidia chip and runs Windows RT. These devices will help in bridging the gaps between PCs and tablets.

IdeaPad Yoga 11

IdeaPad Yoga 13 comes with a 13.3-inch screen and built-in with Windows 8 OS and has Intel’s Core processors based on theIvyBridgemicroarchitecture. The Yoga 13 weighs 1.5 kilograms (3.3 pounds) and gives a battery life of eight hours. This model will be available in the market from October 26, 2012, and it will be priced US$1,099.

IdeaTab Lynx

Another device, IdeaPad Yoga 11 is the Lenovo’s first hybrid laptop cum tablet that was shown at the Consumer Electronics Show and was one of the first tablet/PC hybrids publicized. It comes with an ARM processor and Windows RT with 11.6-inch screen and a touchscreen that flips to become a tablet. This laptop weighs 1.27 kilograms and gives 13 hours of battery life. This model will available in the market by the end of this year, probably in December and will be priced US$799 approximately.

Along with the two IdeaPad laptops, Lenovo is also launching a new tablet IdeaTab Lynx. It comes with an 11.6-inch screen, built-in with Microsoft Windows 8 OS and “Clover Trail” a dual-core Intel Atom processor. IdeaTab Lynx weighs 640 grams and gives 16 hours of battery life with an optional dock. This tablet will be available in the market by the end of this year, probably in December and will be priced starting from US$599. IdeaTab Lynx with optional dock will be priced starting from USD$749.
