Is Siri really being used by iPhone users?
Apple has excelled with Siri, the voice recognition function on your iPhone 4S. And for good reason it is apparently very popular among iPhone owners 4S. 87 percent of iPhone users 4S utilizes at least one feature Siri each month- all this, according to a new study.
Making phone calls and text messaging are the most popular activities, according to the report, a sign that the use of Siri is a reflection of how people use their phones generally speaking. Approximately third part of the owners of 4S Siri use it to make phone calls, send text messages, or for daily information. Many other services by Siri are increasingly used. These includes playing music and meeting scheduling. Between 32% and 35% of users 4S, respectively, said they had never used Siri to carry out those actions. These categories also had some smaller percentage of users who either daily or almost daily.
The survey, conducted by Parks Associates, also found that 55% of iPhone users were satisfied with 4S Siri and 9% were dissatisfied. The rest were somewhere in between. It seems likely that Apple will expand the feature set Siri in the future, adding more partners aware of Wolfram and integration of Yelp. ESPN has been mentioned as a possible partner to serve the sports scores and schedules.
Thus, the results of the survey, published in the Wall Street Journal reveal some of the findings, among which are the following:
- 87% of iPhone users 4S Siri used at least once a month.
- Barely a third of iPhone owners use Siri 4S “almost daily”.
- 26% of users use daily Siri to send emails.
It seems that the more advanced features such as calendar appointments set are less frequently used by users. The so-called wizard voice is only available for this phone-not even been integrated into the new iPhone-although there are ways to make other devices installed on Apple.
