We are now hearing that the Japanese company is rolling out ICS for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go.

And let me tell you, this isn’t stopping soon! We are now hearing that the Japanese company is rolling out ICS for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go.

Yes, the Gingerbread jinx is going to break open and users very shortly will unlock the screens with facial recognitions. The Sony official blog site has these features mentioned:

  • New ways to experience your tunes, images, videos and films with Sony’s media applications – “WALKMAN”, “Album” and “Movies”
  • Extended standby mode, increasing standby time by up to four times (depending on user-profile and data consumption)
  • Lock screen with improved functionality
  • Resizable widgets for improved personalization
  • Improved control of your mobile data consumption
  • Recent Apps button for a clear overview of your applications

The blog also mentions about addition of a feature termed as “Glove Mode” which helps one use the keypad during winters also with ease. The technology is an enhancement further to the already existing “floating touch”.

Sony has already expedited the roll-out and by this weekend, you should be enjoying the ICS benefits.
