Huawei Brings Two New Android Smartphones to India, Ascend Y200 and Ascend G300

Huawei, a Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer is reportedly all set to bring its two new Android smartphones to India this month. Part of company’s Ascend series, these smartphones are Y200 (entry-level) and G300 (mid-range).

The actual prices of these devices were not yet revealed during their launch, but it is expected that both the devices will be offered at reasonably less than the similar offerings from the other international brands. The prices of Y200 and G300 could approximately be Rs 7000 and Rs 10,500 respectively.

Key Features of Huawei Ascend Y200:

As if like Samsung Galaxy Y, the letter “Y” is intended in the name of this smartphone show Ascend Y200 with the motto to target the young customers (Young).

Ascend Y200 runs on Android mobile operating using version 2.3 Gingerbread and on MSM7227A processor with the support for ARM Cortex-A5 800 MHz to produce a competent performance. This device is equipped with the HVGA touch screen measuring 3.5 inches with a resolution of 480 × 320 pixels. Visual quality of the displayed enhanced by the presence of GPU Adreno 200 graphics processing unit with 256 MB RAM. Huawei also in terms of entertainment do not forget to include 3.2 megapixel resolution camera with Fixed Focus, Stereo A2DP Bluetooth support, Wi-Fi, a microSD slot expandable up to 32GB of memory, and 1250 mAh battery.

Key Features of Huawei Ascend G300:

In an advanced level to the Ascend Y200, Huawei is brining Ascend G300. It is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread based smartphone which is built up with 4-inch touch screen with 800 × 400 pixel resolution display. It is carried on the G300 GPU Adreno 200 graphics processor which is the same as the Y200, but utilizing a Qualcomm MSM7227A ARM Cortex-A5 1GHz smartphone to support performance. The camera also increased the resolution to 5 megapixels compared to 3.2 megapixels in Y200. This smartphone also features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB port for connectivity.

Though Ascend G300 is sold at Gingerbread version, according to the company’s assertion, its operating system can be upgraded to the Ice Cream Sandwich.
