Samsung includes an additional 5 GB of cloud storage on the Galaxy SIII with the help of SugarSync

Not only the device characteristics, Samsung is also focusing on the software services the Galaxy SIII brings along with it. I would term this a continuous improvement as a 5 GB additional cloud storage is now included. This adds to the already served plate of 50 GB DropBox storage. This additional 5 GB however, is not from DropBox but its competitor SugarSync.

Now if you think what exceptional enhancements Sammy is going to bring to the table with a mere 5 GB of additional storage; well SugarSync storage bonus is meant to be more than just raw online storage, and it’s supposed to be integrated into Galaxy S3′s AllShare Play feature that allows users to sync their media files between their Smart TV, desktop, smartphone and tablet.

There’s one more story to this SugaSync business. This is collaboration with SugarSync to add the same amount of storage to a lot of other Samsung smartphones and not only the Galaxy SIII. The 5GB of free SugarSync storage will come to all Samsung devices that have the AllShare Play/DLNA feature.

It’s a win-win situation for both. SugarSync is expanding its business off-lately. This is not the only big partnership. It had already entered into deals with big shots like Lenovo, Fujitsu and France-Telecom (Orange).

And from the fact that SugarSync actually will be incorporated in all future DLNA Samsung devices, it would be interesting to the DropBox and Samsung curve.
