Dell prescribes a Tablet again, this time with Windows 8
Dell has unveiled something on which the Personal Computer giant had been working from quite some time. It’s a 10.8 inch tablet. Dell, unlike the Android chasing community, will have Windows 8 platform running here.
Other features include 1366×768 of resolution, a dual core Atom processor, fingerprint reader, Intel graphics (x86 tablet folks), 2 GB of ram and 128 GB SSD.
One remarkable feature of this tablet is a removable battery which would come in 2 flavors depending on the battery life. The smaller one would give a stand of 6-8 hours and the larger one would give 10-12 hours. That’s decent enough for a tablet bearing a dual core processor.
There are rumors running around about launching of few more models from Dell.
“Dell will be putting out more than one tablet and the specs above represent one model of possibly several that will hit the market. We are hearing that this tablet will be ready for launch in the late Fall/November time-frame; we have not heard any information on pricing at this point”, reported Neowin.Net
This is what Dell has in store alongside the November Windows 8 release. Not only Dell, in fact a lot other players are looking at launching tablets running Windows 8.
