Dell India is now tied up with HCL for the distribution of its latter products in the country

The distribution arm of HCL Infosystems, DDMS (Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services) will deal in a wide array of Dell’s Enterprise product categories including servers, storage and networking products in emerging markets like tier 1 and tier 2 cities, the company said in a statement.

Dell’s joint venture with DDMS will promote and improve the Enterprise solutions to reach beyond tier-1 cities and to expand the businesses of the both companies. This will even drive its focus to target the mid-market customers with open, easy to deploy and affordable solutions.

DDMS will handle all the activities related to the marketing sales and technical areas and on the whole go-to market activities for Dell Enterprise products and services. In addition will also facilitates in promoting, contributing and broadening the sale volume of the Dell products through activities such as market research, advertising, trade shows, internet marketing etc.

HCL Infosystems EVP (marketing, strategy and business development) Rothin Bhattacharyya said that, “the company will announce more such tie-ups in the next couple of months but he refused to share the name of companies”.

Dell India President and Managing Director Sameer Garde said that, “the move will help strengthen their presence beyond the top eight cities on the country”. For Dell, India will be the first market to identify and sort the new market prospects as the mid-market sector. DDMS’s strong distribution network in mid-markets, tied with the widened products and solutions range will indisputably facilitates in fortifying the presence across these growth markets, moving beyond the top eight cities in India,” said Sameer Garde, president and managing director, Dell India.
