Coolpad has launched the successor to the famous Note 5 smartphone. The new Coolpad Note 5 Lite will be exclusively available via Amazon India from Tuesday. It is priced at INR 8,199 and will be available in Gold and Grey color variants. In the Coolpad tradition, the new smartphone sports a fingerprint sensor on the back panel.
The Android smartphone is basically, a lighter version of the Coolpad Note 5 which was launched in India back in September. It sports a 5-inch 2.5D curved glass IPS display with an HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and pixel density of 294ppi. The new smartphone has a 70.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735CP processor along with 3GB of RAM and a Mali 720 GPU. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Cool UI 8.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Coolpad Note 5 Lite sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash. The power-packed device comes with 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a micro SD card. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. It also comes with USB OTG support.
The Coolpad Note 5 Lite is backed by a 2500mAh battery that offers up to 200 hours of standby time. It weighs 148 grams and measures 145.3 x 72.3 x 8.7mm. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Earlier this year, the company had launched its Coolpad Cool 1 Dual smartphone, which has managed to sell 2 million units globally. Coolpad also announced that it has established over 380 service centers in India, across 29 states.
