Canon India has announced three additions to its EOS and PowerShot range of digital cameras: the EOS 80D, PowerShot G7X Mark II, PowerShot SX720 HS. The EOS80D will be available in April. While the PowerShot G7X Mark II will be available in May, the SX720 HS will be available in June. The Indian prices of cameras have not been revealed as yet. However, in US, the EOS 80D is available at $1,199 [approx. Rs 80,400] [body-only].While the PowerShot G7X Mark II has been priced at $699 [aaprox. Rs. 47,000], the SX720 HS comes at $379 [approx. Rs. 25,500].
The Canon EOS 80D sports a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor along with Digic 6 image processor. The camera offers an ISO range of 100-16000 [can can be expanded to 25600] and 7fps burst mode. Other features include 45-point cross-type auto-focus system. The camera is capable of capturing Full HD 1080p videos.
The Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II sports a 1-inch, 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor along with the Digic 7 image processor. Other features include a 40x optical zoom and a tiltable 3-inch touchscreen. The camera allows you to capture Full HD  videos along with in-camera RAW conversion to preview images without a PC. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, NFC. The Canon PowerShot SX720 HS sports a 20.3-megapixel sensor along with the Digic 6 image processor. Other features include 40x optical zoom, 3-inch LCD and a dedicated Wi-Fi button. Assistive features include Zoom Framing, Story Highlight, and Creative Shot. Canon India also announced a new EF-S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens, which will be available from April onwards.
