BlackBerry 10.2 will support Android Jelly Bean apps
Great news for BlackBerry 10.2 users! BlackBerry is thinking of supporting Android Jelly Bean Applications on its BlackBerry 10.2. The support will be available later this year.
BlackBerry claims that its operating system can run Android apps. But the latest model of the company, BlackBerry 10, can only able to work with Android 2.3 Gingerbread or earlier versions’ applications. BlackBerry customers could not have whole bunch of Android applications as their devices do not support all applications from later versions of Android operating systems. BlackBerry users are eagerly looking forward to have the power of all Android applications in their hands while they are on the go. Now the time is about to come fulfilling the aspirations of BlackBerry customers.
BlackBerry revealed on Thursday that BlackBerry 10.2 will at last allow its users to access the plethora of Android application that are available, as it is adding support for Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This move will enable BlackBerry customers to access and use the latest Android applications. Previously, they had to satisfy with older applications.
Now developers can have a Plug-in for Android Development tool along with a beta version of the new BlackBerry Runtime for Android Applications. But the waiting is not over, not yet. BlackBerry 10.2 will not be ready on devices till some more time. Sometime back, BlackBerry made it public that the update will also enable multiple alarms, reminder timers, level 1 notifications, Unicode emails and many others.
