ASUS Google Nexus tablet emerges in leaked photos
Leaked images of the rumored Google Nexus tablet have emerged online. These allegedly confidential images were provided by PhoneArena. The images show a device, which appears to be similar to the Samsung Galaxy S3 from the front, the back cover offers two tones of black and grey. The speakers are located exactly like that of a touch-screen phone, fuelling rumors that the Google Nexus tablet might be able to make calls just like the Galaxy Note.
The Google Nexus tablet is said to be jointly developed by Google and ASUS. Earlier, PhoneArena had confirmed that the tablet will come with a 7 inch screen. It will be powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The OS is supposed to be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but if the rumors are true, we might have the very first device to be running on the upgraded Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. So far Google has been quiet regarding the Nexus tablet, but rumors suggest that the 7 inch screen will have a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and a processor speed of 1.3 GHz. The tablet will also include a pair of front and back facing cameras.
The Google Nexus tablet is expected to be launched at the Google I/O conference (June 27-29), and within a price range of $150 to $250, it is certainly aimed at the budget-conscious crowd. Till then all we can do is to wait and anticipate.
Keep posted for further news.
