Archos 80 Cobalt tablet introduced featuring an 8-inch display
Archos has introduced an 8-inch budget tablet called the 80 Cobalt. The tablet features Android Ice Cream Sandwich and a 1.6GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage
French tablet maker Archos has announced to launch an 8-inch budget tablet called the 80 Cobalt in the coming days. The new tablet is being introduced as a member of Archos’s Elements range of products and according to Engadget, it would retail under $200.
As gathered from Engadget, the Archos 80 Cobalt features an 8-inch capacitive screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768p and 1080p of video playback. It comes running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1.6GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM and a quad core GPU. The tablet offers 8GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 64GB via a microSD card slot.
The 80 Cobalt also features a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera. Other notable features include integrated Wi-Fi, a micro USB 2.0 port, a buil-in microphone, integrated mono speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Physically the tablet measures 12mm in depth and weighs around 470g.
Also the 80 Cobalt comes with full access to Google Play offering full access to apps, games and more. While inbox accessories include an USB cable, power adapter and a quick start guide.
Currently thereare no details revealing the exact pricing and the date of availability but you can expect the Archos 80 Cobalt to go on sale very soon.
