Apple iPad Pro Launched In India With Pencil and Smart Keyboard, Starting At Rs 67900

Apple has finally launched the iPad Pro in India. The Apple iPad Pro is now available for purchase in India from authorized re-sellers and retail stores. The iPad Pro [Wi-Fi only] 32 GB storage variant has been priced at Rs 67,900 and the 128 GB storage variant is available at Rs 79,900. While the 128 GB storage variant with 4G LTE connectivity has been priced at Rs 91,900. As far as accessories are concerned, the Apple Pencil will be available at Rs. 8,600 and the Apple Smart Keyboard will cost Rs. 14,900. However, the sale of iPad Pro accessories won’t begin from Tuesday due to unavailability in stock.

The new iPad Pro is just 6.9mm thin and weighs only 1.57 pounds. Itsports a 12.9-inch display with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels and a pixel density of 264 ppi. Apple is using the same technology from its iMac with Retina 5K display in the iPad Pro, which means it has a variable refresh rate and allows Apple to slow the display down and save battery. It also uses the new split screen app features of iOS 9.

The iPad Pro is powered by Apple’s new A9X processor, which as claimed by Apple, is 1.8 times faster than the previous chip. Apple also claims that the iPad Pro will last 10 hours on battery with the ability to edit three streams of 4K video simultaneously. A four-speaker audio system has also been added to the iPad Pro. And as a new feature, the iOS 9 balances the sound dependent on how you’re holding the device. The new iPad Pro also includes a Touch ID sensor and support for LTE. It comes with an 8-megapixel iSight camera on the rear, and a FaceTime HD Camera at the front.

As for accessories,¬†Apple Pencil works as a stylus for the tablet. When you’re using the Pencil, the iPad Pro increases the amount of scanning on the surface of the display to improve accuracy. The Apple Pencil comes with sensitivity sensors, that allow you to press lightly for brief strokes or harder for wider strokes. The Apple Pencil can be recharged using a Lightning connector that plugs directly into the iPad Pro. Apps like the built-in Mail and Notes apps support Apple Pencil.
