Apple app store home page decorated with iOS6 maps alternatives
Apple has now decorated its app store home page entirely with alternative map suggestions. The home page now displays an icon that says “Find maps for your iPhone”
An Apple CEO apologizing to customers is news that I couldn’t cease from publishing. It is also news that you couldn’t resist reading (probably). Now if you recall, one of Cooks points was the availability of alternatives in the app store. Moreover, users can still access Google maps via Safari. This is what Cook said:
“While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app”
To improvise this further, Apple has now decorated its app store home page entirely with alternative map suggestions. The home page now displays an icon that says “Find maps for your iPhone”. That will lead to some of the best alternatives available including Waze, major data point provider for iOS6.
Cook obviously hasn’t stopped here. Apple as a company is known for delivering products of unmatched qualities. The Apple maps too would prosper. A little bit of patience will bear you rich fruits, take this for sure.
