The Acer Liquid Gallant Duo features a 4.3-inch display with qHD resolution and offers dual SIM support and other specs at an affordable price
Acer offers a new device from its Liquid line of handsets called the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo. As the name suggests, the device offers dual SIM support and flaunts an affordable price tag according to an article in MoDaCo.
The device features a 4.3-inch display with qHD resolution running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A 1GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM lends power to the device. There’s a 5MP camera with LED flash at the back, while the 4GB of internal storage is expandable up-to 32GB via micorSD.
For connectivity the Gallant Duo offers Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device weighs in at 145g and measures 9.9mm in depth. Also there’s a 1500mAh battery providing power back-up. The handset is offered in both black and white.
While spec wise the Gallant Duo won’t top any of the quad-core powered handsets but at the price it commands, the specs are downright competitive given that it falls within the entry-level category.
According to MoDaCo, the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo is scheduled for an August 8th release. MoDaCo also reports the device being available for pre-order at Expansys but as of now it has been removed from the listing due to reasons unexplained. However to get an idea about the price range, the device was initially listed at £148.99 ($230).
