7-inch Penta T-Pad WS703C tablet launches for Rs 6,999, features 2G SIM slot
Pantel Technologies has launched a 7-inch tablet called Penta T-Pad WS703C in collaboration with BSNL. The tablet features a 2G SIM slot for Voice Calling, a 3D enabled screen and 3G connectivity via dongle. The tablet also comes bundled with attractive offers from BSNL
Pantel Technologies claims that the just released Penta T-Pad WS703C tablet is in fact the first to come equipped with a 2G SIM in India. Nevertheless, the 7-inch tablet has been launched in collaboration with BSNL for a price of Rs 6,999.
The 2G SIM slot also means that the tablet features voice calling. The Penta T-Pad WS703C was handed to a total of 674 meritorious students from Kerala who excelled in the SSLC 2012 exam. The tablets were handed under a unique merit initiative undertaken by MP PC Chacko.
According to Times of India, the Penta T-Pad WS703C features a 7-inch 3D enabled capacitive touch screen and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor paired with 512MB of RAM. The tablet offers 4GB of internal storage and a built-in 2G SIM slot for Voice Calling. The tablet also offers support for 3G connectivity via dongles.
Other features include a pair of front and rear cameras, HDMI port and mini USB port.
Pantel Technologies has also collaborated with BSNL that offers some attractive pre-paid plans that come bundled with the Penta T-Pad tablets. The plans offer 4GB of free 2G data for 60 days at Rs 125 and 2GB of free 3G data for 60 days at Rs 150.
